Communication is key for a successful partnership between school and home. I vow to do my part in letting you know what I see going on, if anything, with your student. I think good news is just as important as any other kind of news. I love to share your child's day with you. Please feel free to text or email me your questions or concerns and I will do my best to address them as soon as possible. I will have a few other ways for us to communicate throughout the year and stay in-sync with your child's best interest.
Newsletter
I will have a weekly newsletter that I publish to this website, I will email it to the class email list, and I will have it posted on the parents center bulletin board by our classroom door. The newsletter will be a brief outline of the week coming up and a spotlight on the previous week adventures. There will also be a student spotlight each week highlighting one of our outstanding students.
Behavior Notes
Behavior notes are not to single out poor choices but to also highlight great choices. If the student ends up on the Consequence Chart then there will be a note to let you know what happened that day, and the measures to be taken or that were taken to help the student correct their behavior. These types of notes will require your signature to acknowledge you are aware of the situation and to be returned to me. Behavior notes of a good nature will not require your signature for acknowledgement and are merely for me to acknowledge your child and a job well done.
Conferences
I am more than happy to set up a parent-teacher conference with you, at your convenience. I may request one also if the need arises to discuss behaviors, grades, or any other need or situation that merits it.
My Contact Information
Please feel free to contact me at any time. I will do my best to get back with you the same day you reach out but please be understanding if I cannot. I believe communication between teacher and guardians/parents is very important and I can assure you I will get back with you in a timely manner. Thank you!
